Frequently asked questions
How far out should I book?
Honestly? Four to six weeks for cuts and color, and further for Dana's balayage chair or Saturday appointments. If you're on a deadline — an event, a trip, a reunion — call us at the salon and we'll see what we can shuffle. Cancellations do open up.
Why does color correction require a consultation first?
Because we can't quote what we can't see. Box dye, old highlights, and at-home bleach all behave differently under new color, and guessing is how corrections go wrong. The consult takes about 15 minutes: Priya looks at your hair's history, tells you what's possible in one visit versus two, and gives you a real price before anything is booked.
Should I bring inspiration photos?
Please do — the more the better. Photos give us something concrete to talk through, including what parts of the photo are the cut or color and what parts are lighting and someone else's hair density. We'd rather adjust the plan in the consultation than surprise you at the mirror.
What's your cancellation policy?
Life happens — we just ask for 48 hours' notice so we can offer your chair to someone on the waitlist. Cancellations inside 24 hours or no-shows may be charged half the service price before rebooking. If you're sick, tell us and we'll waive it; please don't bring it to the salon.
What products do you use and sell?
We color with professional lines chosen for gentle processing and true-to-tone results, and the shelf up front carries the shampoos, conditioners, and bond-builders we actually use at the bowl. Nobody here works on commission quotas — if drugstore purple shampoo will do the job for you, we'll say so.
